In October, www.CruisesAndCameras.com selected as their Best Overall Cruise Camera the Olympus OM-D M5 II camera, We coupled it with the Olympus Travel Lens Kit which consists of a phenomenal 10 oz. f4-5.6 14-150 mm M. Zuiko zoom lens and an f1.8 17 mm fixed-length lens. This combo sold for $899 for the camera and $699 for the two lenses.
For holiday season, Olympus has just upped the ante by dropping the price of the M5 body to $799. This reduces the cost of the entire outfit to $1498. This is an official Olympus sale, and you can get it an any franchised Olympus dealer without having to bargain for it. If you're a member of the Adorama VIP Club, you can even buy it with a 60-day Return Privilege, which makes it a risk-free deal.
At $1,498, this camera outfit is all you need for a cruise around the world. Mine weighs five pounds with a Lowepro Nova 160 AW bag. The camera and lens, by itself, weighs about two pounds. The Travel Lens Kit saves you $300 over the cost of buying the lenses separately; making this the Best Buy in cruise camera outfits for less than $2000. I've used mine happily for the past six months.
In the top photo, the camera is placed on the other great deal, the Canon PIXMA Pro-100 13"x19" color printer which sells for $379. Thanks to an official Canon Rebate of $250, you can now buy this top-notch printer for only $129 by sending in the rebate certificate that's good for the remainder of 2017. Then, to sweeten the deal even further, Canon throws in a 50-sheet box of its 13x19" LU-101 Pro Luster Photo Paper which sells for $44.95. This reduces the cost of the printer and paper to $85. The Pro-100 has Wi-Fi connectivity so you can place it anywhere in your house, and use it to print wirelessly from PCs, laptops, and iPhones. It uses eight-ink cartridges with three devoted to different shades of black and grey; so you can do an exceptional job of printing b&w enlargements, as well as making color enlargements for your walls.
The PIXMA Pro-100 printer is an upgraded model of the non-Wi-Fi PIXMA Mark II 9000 that I bought for $400 about five years ago. However, thanks to this sale, I'll donate the Mark II 9000 printer to my local middle school. I'll also give them about 20 ink cartridges which are not compatible with the new printer. The resulting tax deduction will make this upgrading of my most versatile photo printer, free.
Meanwhile, Canon is gambling that when I run out of the ink that comes with the printer, I'll buy enough ink cartridges in the next few years to pay off what I've saved on this deal.
